Hello! Love the website, and it makes me a little homesick as I left Waltham St Lawrence in 1966 and now live in California. I'm hoping there may be one or two of my old school friends who still live in the village who would like to give me some of their news.
My name is Penny Webb, I lived in Orchard End, West End, Waltham St Lawrence. Iwent to the Village School in West End, and Maidenhead High School. I left the village in 1966 to train as a nurse at St Thomas Hospital in London. I was fortunate to have my wedding at the Church in Waltham in 1968. My Father - Reg Webb, Mother - Joan Webb and Brother - Peter Webb are all buried in the graveyard at the Parish Chuch. I have one surviving Brother - Chris Webb who also lives in California now.
Names I remember are Jonathon Ewert, Jimmy Pike, Christine Brown, Rex, Stephan Croucher, Gillian Charleton. I remember Beryl and Jimmy at The Plough, Mr & Mrs Neville at the village store. Does anyone have news of these people?
