As before, the proceeds from each concert are divided between a charity nominated by the performers and the church. ‘Friends of the Waltham St Lawrence Concerts’ This concert series is a major undertaking with significant costs, and to help provide a solid financial footing we invite interested members of the community to support it by becoming a ‘friend’, and for the existing friends (to whom we are most grateful) to renew their ‘friendship’. For a moderate donation, this gives supporters the satisfaction of helping the cultural life of the village and the nominated charities, and entitles them to a good seat at any concert (the first few rows are reserved for ‘Friends’). Friends are acknowledged on concert programmes, but can be anonymous if they prefer.
